The Fowler water resistant IP54 economy 12”/300mm digital caliper, 541007122, has an accuracy of 0.0015"/0.03mm & 0.0005"/0.01mm resolution. It has absolute sensor technology & a hardened stainless steel frame for corrosion resistance and long life. The digital, single-value readout LCD shows either inch or metric units for versatility when measuring. It has a 0 setting for taking intermediate or differential measurements & direct metric/inch conversion. The knurled lock screw holds the sliding jaw in position and helps ensure a consistent measurement. The hardened stainless steel frame offers corrosion resistance and long life. The caliper is rated to IP54 level of protection against dust & splashing water from any direction up to a volume of 10 liters per minute. This caliper is used for measuring inside dimensions(ID), outside dimensions(OD), depth, & step. The 12 inch 54-100-712-2 can output data via an RS-232 cable to capture and record data. It comes with a molded case. Digital calipers are measuring instruments commonly used for inspection in manufacturing to provide the precise measurements of an object. A pair of jaws attached to a long beam with a marked scale is used to take inside, outside, and step measurements. An additional depth probe slides along the beam to take depth measurements.
